The last Milk Run of the 31st year of giving milk formula to mothers of Klong Toei slum. In these three-plus decades we’ve watched countless babies grow and many return to us as young mothers with their newborns.

Sister Joan used to regularly have several hundred people in the Milk Run lines and the great news is that the need nowadays is much less. Because Thai people are having better lives (and less children too) the Milk Run program now serves a total of just over 30 registered people in two Klong Toei communities: Rong Moo and Suan Ooy.

After giving 10 packs of formula in Rong Moo, Adri and I rushed to shop for soy milk to give to the local kindergarten in Suan Ooy. Sister Joan made a yearly donation to them and this tradition continues…
