Khun Anju sponsored this Milk Run by donating 10,000 baht. That is how much we give out in milk formula on a typical Milk Run and almost exactly how much we gave today to our registered moms.

Our Milk Run inventory (seen in the picture above) includes a minimum of 12 boxes each of Lactogen 1 and Lactogen 2, Dulac, Dupro and Bear brand of milk formula. These specific products cover the needs of a new born to 1 year old babies. In addition, we provide Carnation milk formula that can be used for nutritional support past 1 years of age. We give most of it to seniors (over 60 years old) who have difficulties chewing regular food.
We bring a minimum of 72 boxes of milk formula every fortnight so our registered recipients can choose the kind that serves them best. In addition, we provide diapers to qualified moms (who are single or lack family help).
The total inventory costs about 18,000 or just US$300. But the benefits to these babies and their moms are priceless. When Sister Joan started this program, she was seeing babies die of malnutrition in Klong Toei slum. This was just 30 years ago!

This Friday we gave out 13 boxes of milk formula and 4 large packets of baby diapers in Rong Moo and later did another 16 boxes and 2 packets in the Suan Ooy community.
