Trini was the hero of the day – coming to help with the shopping then packing the bags and finally distributing the food in Rang Moo. From 10 am to 6 pm – a full day of work!!

When Sister Cecilia came to visit last fortnight she suggested that we stop providing canned sardines and switch to dried pork that is easy to add to any meal and provides a more healthy protein to seniors’ diets. So, starting this Friday we supplied this new item to all but one person who for religious reasons doesn’t consume pork. Sister Joan started the Rice Run as “rice handouts” back in 1999 in a response to devastating impact of the Asian Crisis. The sardines were given out since at least 2009 and now, after 11 years we are making another change in the Rice Run routine…
In the afternoon, our regular volunteers showed up to pack the food and distribute it at 4 pm. Here are the photos…
Wonderful work – thank you so much to everyone.
Blessings and prayers
