We met today at Central Embassy Starbucks to start creating the curriculum for a new program – the Code Run. It will give high school students from Klong Toei a way to learn English and internet page programing (coding) at a same time. Programs that combine teaching English and coding exist elsewhere but this one will be offered for free to all students in Klong Toei that would like to start working with computers.

To start creating the curriculum, we needed to find out the level of computer and English competency of our target students so we invited the participants of Sister Joan’s School Run project to meet us for a tea and a chat.
Ben and Cynthia, the two people creating this unique curriculum interviewed each student individually while the rest of us hung out and talked about the opportunities for these young people.

Shannon, May, Trini and Michelle joined this unique session and made everything perfect. We met at noon and finished by 1 and before you knew it, everyone rushed back to their busy lives…
Excellent!
